In January 2017 Stillwater Structured Finance, LLC was founded. Before forming Stillwater, the partners spent 12 years at Deutsche Bank, and together have over a combined 60 years of industry experience.

While at Deutsche Bank, the partners focused on sourcing attractive commercial lending opportunities for the Bank. The team worked closely with Deutsche’s Structured Credit-lending groups in Commercial Real Estate, Infrastructure and Energy, and Special Situations. We identified transactions that matched the Bank’s risk and profit targets and worked with the borrowers to get those deals financed.

This focus continues at Stillwater; however, the team can cast a much wider net of risk types and deal sizes. Stillwater looks to be a trusted partner bringing expertise, experience, and a diverse network of co-investors across banks, debt funds, private equity, and hedge funds.

Stillwater has two focuses:
